i am thankful for...day twelve

I am thankful for bean burritos. Just beans and cheese, people. And I am thankful to have a plethora of Mexican restaurants in my neighborhood from which to choose.

i am thankful for...day eleven

I am so thankful to live near San Francisco...

Today I drove with my mom and Galen to Auntie Judi's house. We drove to the BART station and took a ride into San Francisco.



Beginning and ending points.



We had brunch at MarketBar, inside the amazing Ferry Building.







After brunch we went back onto BART, and ended up here, the real reason for our trip.



Un-freakin-believable, people. Have you seen Wicked? If not, please consider taking me; I already want to see it again. If you have seen it, what did you think? Did you love it as much as me?

i am thankful for...day ten

Dearest Isabella, Caden, and Lily,

I am thankful that this morning, before Daddy and I woke up, you took the initiative to empty the dishwasher. I can just imagine the three of you, on your plastic chairs in order to reach the top shelves, helping each other put all of those plates and bowls, cups and silverware away (except the knives -- you knew NOT TO TOUCH THE KNIVES.) You did not break anything AND you put everything away where it belongs! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Just one thing though, for next time. It's a small request, but I am sure you will understand. Please make sure the dishes that you put away are in fact, clean. Thanks a bunch.

i am thankful for...day eight & nine

Whoops! I forgot to do a thankful post yesterday...so I am combining it with this one :-)

Yesterday I went out with some great friends, and like always, had a fantastic time. I feel so fortunate to be surrounded by amazing, diverse, supportive, and down to earth friends!

And today, I am thankful that I am off work for Thanksgiving until November 30th. I LOVE my job!

I am thankful for autumn...



...pumpkins...



...brisk weather {relatively speaking, this is California}...

...mulled spices on the stove, trips to Apple Hill, school supplies, daylight saving time...

...seasonal colors...



...including crimson red trees.



No editing, a tree on my street is actually THIS red. It looks like it's on fire. Amazing. Glorious.
